pregnantThereafter your ante-natal care will be provided jointly by the Community Midwives at Tiverton & District Hospital and your GP.

Post-natally, the Midwives will undertake daily home visits for up to 14 days and will then transfer your care over to the Health Visitors.

The Health Visitors will also undertake a home visit and will arrange follow up visits as appropriate.

All new mothers are advised to attend for a six week post-natal check, with their GP. Your GP will examine you and your baby, review any ongoing medical problems as well as discussing contraception requirements.
